The Importance of Medical Advice

Anyone considering pregnancy needs to understand the importance of healthy eating and how excess stimulants such as caffeine, alcohol and even sugar can have a negative impact on the body. The NHS gives very comprehensive advice which I thoroughly recommend anyone trying to conceive take a read via the following link:

Please also be aware that approximately 1 in 7 couples may have difficulty conceiving within the first year of trying.  In such instances, I always recommend couples seek professional advice from their GP as simple tests can be offered to help understand individual hormone function. For further details please see the NHS website at:

If you take a look at my Facebook Page, you can see some genuine reviews from clients who have felt benefit from the treatments they have had with me.   However, if you would like to book an appointment, or speak to me in person, please click over to my CONTACT ME page for details on how to get in touch.

Having experienced difficulties myself, I know how stressful trying for a baby can be; especially when conception seems to happen instantly for some, yet others just find themselves in limbo, with no straight forward explanation as to why they cannot conceive naturally.

It is a well known fact that stress can start to disrupt hormonal function within the body for both males and females.  For some, that stress can be caused by long working hours, or a hectic lifestyle. But, for others, the stress can be caused by the all consuming worry of pregnancy not quite going to plan.

Whilst Complementary Therapies are not a way of guaranteeing a pregnancy, they do provide an opportunity to escape from any lifestyle stress; or that of trying to conceive.  Based on my own experiences, and professional training, I work compassionately and knowledgeably with all clients who are in this situation.

All of the treatments I work with offer a valuable complementary support for both males and females and can be used alongside any medical care being received, including assisted conception methods such as IVF or ICSI. The therapies I use predominantly reduce the effects of stress but can also offer valuable support emotionally.

Reflexology encourages deep relaxation to switch the body off from stress. When the stress responses are calmed, or even halted altogether, the body starts to reset itself to its more natural state; including hormone function.  For me, reflexology is such an easy and natural way to support our overall wellbeing.

Healing and Meditation are also deeply relaxing but I find they are more supportive to the mind. I sometimes use guided visualisations as part of my treatments to help unlock any negative thought patterns which are accompanying the conception journey.  I often support these further with Flower Essences which I give to clients to continue with at home.   Healing or meditation can be added to the end of a reflexology treatment, or given as a stand alone treatment in its own rightdepending on client preferences.
